I thought that I would relieve you all from war coverage URLs and bore you with some details of my weekend (it was really productive for me).
Ok... to set the mood (hehe) Im jamming to Pigtail from the album "Music From The Penguin Cafe" by Penguin Cafe Orchestra :)
First thing, I zoomed over to the Honda dealership to pick up an ignition switch for the Prelude. While I was there, I came across one of these ! I WILL HAVE THIS SOON! I'm sold! That is the most kick-ass car that I have ever seen. IT WILL BE MINE! After getting my new switch and drooling all over the Element, I went home and somehow (with a little help), managed to get the old Prelude switch working :) So, back to the Honda dealer to return the new switch and hump the Element a little more :D
A relative asked us a couple of weeks ago if Kevin would like to have her son's bed that was no longer being used. Kevin said he wanted it (a very nice kid's bed with drawers to put stuff in), but the problem was that we didn't have a way to get it home :( I guess that's what I get for not ever buying a truck... it's the redneck stigma that I try to avoid....So, after our failure to find some rednecks with a truck that we could use, we got a little RAV4 that belongs to Trinh's sister - it was too small... We try to rent a small truck - none available. THEN on our way to our car from Home Depot, Trinh sees someone in the parking lot that she knows, in her truck! WOW WHAT LUCK! So.....we were able to get the bed home after all, but that's not all we did.....We also dropped by Sam's Warehouse to pick up a battery for the Prelude along with about 2 weeks worth of grub. Then, we went to Sears and picked up the ultimate weapon in suburban weed warfare - A brand spanking new gas-powered weed-eater :) Now I can rev my tool like my other neighbors - instead of worrying about waking my power cord.... hmmm... that didn't sound right.... Anyhoo... I took that beast out on the lawn for a couple of hours along with my other yard work arsenal, until a very unfriendly cloud came along and started spitting large marble sized balls of ice at me (see pic). I tried to get some weather info on the tube, but all that was on, was stuff about Iraq, so, I give mom a buzz to give me the updates.
Lastly, I deleted all of my 160 kbps Mp3s from my main G4 and Backed-up my entire CD collection with 192 kbps Mp3s. Some cant tell the difference, but I can......uhhh... I guess that's about it for now (zzzzzzzzzz)
